An in-depth study of Otakar Sevcik’s op.3 bowing exercises, which offer a straightforward method of working on specific bow strokes within a musical framework. We will study each of the 40 variations (plus more) as well as correlating passages from the violin repertoire.

"I highly recommend this course to all teachers who want to gain a better understanding of the foundational Sevcik Opus 3 bowing etudes. Allegra Wermuth brings her formidable technique, her considerable experience as a principal player in the Colorado symphony and her joyfull, open personality to the course. I learned so much and had a lot of fun doing it. One thing I especially appreciated was the space that Allegra gave to all participants to not only ask questions, but share their knowledge and experience as well” Edward Kreitman
